Book table at PDC

I sold quite a few books today at the local American Society of Safety Engineers’s Professional Development Conference. It was especially gratifying to have my peers interested in my work.

The highlight for me was when a State Fire Marshal, who was presenting one of the seminars, saw the bit about someone trying to fill a fire extinguisher with oxygen, mentioned on the back of the book. “I have to buy this!” he exclaimed. Wait until he gets to the parts with the “floating standpipe” or the hot work near a leaking natural gas pipe….

My husband Brian took the day off and accompanied me. It’s always nice when a cute guy carries your books.
